This mural shows Sir Edward Carson in 1912 "consecrating" the colors of the Ulster Volunteer Force, an exclusively Protestant militia that was formed to oppose Home Rule...with the use of force if necessary --with the weapons provided by the Kaiser's Germany, which is rather ironic to say the least (taking arms from Britain's enemy to remain "British").
